Cornea Laser Surgery

Procedure: Is a surgery that permanently changes the shape of the cornea (the transparent covering on the front of the eye). It is done to improve vision and reduce a person’s need for glasses or contact lenses.

Duration: About 10-15 minutes per eye.

Anesthesia: Local

Side Effects: Vision is often blurry or hazy the day of surgery, burning, itching (for more than 6 hours in most cases.)

Recovery: Most people’s vision will stabilize in a few days after surgery,

but for some people, it may take up to 3 to 6 months.
